I used to want to be a prostitute with a gun (a la Frank "whorewhorewhore" Millar's Sin City) but now I wish to be a go-go dancer with a machine gun leg (a la Rodreguez's Planet Terror)

I have a degree in Ancient History and Egyptology which serves no purpose but to make me look cool and/or a geek. Due to the fact I spent three (fun filled) years of my life getting this degree I am now a debt ridden ex-student back living with her parents and entering the world of work for the first time. Expect much whinging about 8AM starts, the excitement of being a *sings* Single white female Lawyer Legal Secretary! and trying to have a social life whilst navagating my mother.

I have moved from my home town of Oldham (near Manchester), England, via Swansea, Wales where I obtained said degree from and now live in Perth, Scotland. I fully expect in the coming years to have also invaded Ireland so I can boast about living in all countries which encompass the British Isles....plus Irish accents really turn me on....Scottish ones (unless belonging to Gerald Butler) really dont, perhaps due to a brief forray into Bar tending at my local village pub. Drunk scots are so not attractive to me.

I believe that teaching someone to read is the greatest gift you’ll ever bestow upon another person.

I am that person who always prefers the book to the film, except in the case of Buffalo Soldiers, where the film was vastly superior to what was a novella of pure drivel…and dare I say it, yes, The Lord of the Rings (*waits for thousands of geeks to stone her to death*).

My favourite authors are as follows: Anne Rice, Agatha Christie, Lindsey Davis, Janet Evanovich, Mervin Peake, Daphine Du Maurier and Enid Blyton.

I’m in love with film culture. Films are second only to books in the way they can fascinate. My favourite director of all time is QUENTIN TARANTINO, and I have said on many occasions that I will have his oddly shaped babies. I have too many favourite films to write down, but my sure fire way of seeing if a movie is good is this: Does it have explosions? Yep? Well then its good.

I am entirely random, and believe that the spoons are evil, the penguins will form a large army and avenge the chipmunks. I am also a geek, and I wear this badge with pride. I have, in the past had conversations with punk rock goths in music clubs about what was better: Star Trek or Star Wars. I’m for Star Trek….but the goth raised some good points.

I love Peter Kay, he represents all that is right about the world. The Mighty Boosh is fantastically funny and so unappreciated, Little Britain is love and so is Red Dwarf.

Basically what I am saying is that BRITISH COMEDY ROCKS.

Except The Office……really, its dull, and SO NOT FUNNY!
